Mantsho is a story of the King of the Bakoena Clan who made a mistake by not following certain traditional Basotho rituals after his wife died. He later falls in the hands of the serpent's pawn, Mantsho, whom he marries while in the process of mourning his late wife. Mantsho's and her wizardry's doings managed to end the King's life and she ended up ruling the whole Bakoena clan, leaving them in turmoil.
